Troubleshooting Order

Start by identifying the issue type

When a connection fails, first determine whether the issue involves your account, subscription, client, or a specific route. If you cannot access your account or the plan status is unclear, start with the account and billing sections. If the subscription is imported but access fails, begin with connections and troubleshooting. Only move to speed and routes when the issue occurs during a specific period or with a particular service.

Change only one condition at a time while troubleshooting—for example, switch only the route or restart only the target app. Changing several settings at once makes the result difficult to interpret. All entry points for getting clients, subscription information, and order actions are located in the user panel; marketing pages do not provide static installers or actual subscription addresses.

Account

Account & Subscriptions

Create an account, retrieve a subscription, switch devices, and find client downloads.

What do I need to prepare to create a NrVPN account?

No email address is required. Enter a username and password to create your account. Choose a username that is easy to recognize but not reused for other important services, and store your password securely. After creating the account, open the user panel and choose a monthly subscription or data plan based on your needs.

Where can I find my subscription link, and how do I update it?

After signing in to the user panel, get the subscription information for your account from the overview or client download area, then import it into your client. When the route list changes, update the existing subscription in the client instead of repeatedly adding the same link. After updating, select a route again and connect.

Do I need to buy again when I switch devices?

No. NrVPN supports unlimited devices. The same account can be used on Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Linux devices. When switching devices, sign in to the user panel again, retrieve and import your subscription. Remove local configurations from devices you no longer use to keep things organized.

Where can I get the client?

Client downloads are available in the user panel for Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Linux. Marketing pages do not provide static installers or direct subscription links. Open the panel, choose your platform, and follow the on-page instructions to download, import, and connect.

Connection

Connections & Troubleshooting

Handle failed imports, connections that show as active but cannot access websites, and apps that do not use the proxy.

How should I troubleshoot a failed subscription import?

Return to the user panel and copy the complete subscription information again. Make sure the beginning and end were not omitted and that no extra spaces were copied into the client. Then check whether the client allows remote subscriptions and try updating the existing subscription. If importing still fails, include your platform and the error message in a support ticket.

The client says it is connected, but webpages still will not open. What should I do?

First confirm that the client has enabled the system proxy or the relevant takeover mode, then close and reopen the browser. If only certain websites are affected, switch to another route and try again. If no websites are accessible, disconnect, restore your local network connection, then restart the client and connect again.

Why is a particular app not using the proxy?

Some apps do not fully follow system proxy settings, or may be set to direct connection by the client's routing rules. Check the current mode and which rules are being matched, then temporarily switch to a more comprehensive connection mode for testing. After changing the settings, fully close the app and reopen it so it does not reuse an old connection.

What should I do if I suddenly cannot connect after switching networks?

After switching from a home network to another network, the old connection may still be retained by the client. Disconnect the current route first, confirm that the new network can open webpages normally, and then reconnect. If it still fails, update the subscription and switch routes, while also checking that your plan status and remaining data are valid.

Route

Speed & Routes

Adjust routes based on your network, destination region, and specific use case.

What should I do first if the connection slows down during peak hours?

Pause bandwidth-heavy downloads and sync tasks first, then compare routes that are geographically closer. Do not keep reconnecting to the same node; try nearby regions or different route types instead. If webpages load normally but video playback stutters, reduce short-term concurrent requests and reopen the playback page.

How do I choose the best route for what I am accessing?

For everyday browsing, start with a nearby route that connects consistently. When accessing content for a specific region, choose a route in that region. NrVPN covers 100+ countries / 250+ routes, so narrow the options based on your actual destination. Route names are only a starting point; actual performance on your current network matters most.

What is the difference between IEPL routes, standard relays, and direct connections?

IEPL routes focus on controllability across international links. Standard relays use an intermediate entry point to improve connectivity in some network environments, while direct connections reach the exit through the local network. No route type is always best; test each option based on your network, destination region, and time of use.

How should I switch routes when Streaming or AI Tools have connection issues?

First confirm the service account's regional settings and access eligibility, then choose a route for the target region. After switching routes, close the existing page or app and establish a new connection so the old session does not retain its previous exit information. If routes in the same region perform differently, update the subscription, try another route, and clear the target service's temporary cache.

Billing

Billing & Refunds

Review monthly subscriptions, data plans, upgrade options, payment access, and refund requests.

What monthly subscription tiers are available?

Monthly subscriptions include ¥9.9/month with 60GB, ¥18/month with 250GB, and ¥28/month with 500GB. The main difference is the monthly data allowance. All tiers support 100+ countries / 250+ routes and unlimited devices. Leave some headroom based on your typical data usage when choosing a tier.

When does monthly subscription data reset?

Monthly subscription data resets each month on the activation date rather than at the start of the calendar month. Use the subscription period shown in the user panel when checking usage. If you are running low on data near the reset date, decide whether to upgrade your monthly subscription or switch to a data plan that never expires.

Do data plans expire?

Data plans remain valid until the data is used and never expire. Options include ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, and ¥658/3000GB. They are better suited to irregular usage and users who prefer to allocate data based on actual consumption. Check the selected plan type before purchasing so you do not confuse a data plan with a monthly subscription that resets each month.

How does a mid-cycle monthly subscription upgrade work?

For a mid-cycle monthly subscription upgrade, the price difference is converted into remaining days. Before proceeding, check your current plan, remaining period, and target tier in the user panel, then submit the upgrade. If you only need extra data occasionally, compare the data plans first instead of changing tiers repeatedly before your usage pattern is clear.

Which payment methods are supported?

Alipay, WeChat Pay, and USDT are supported. Open the user panel, choose a plan, and complete payment using the methods shown at checkout. Before submitting, recheck the plan type, data allowance, and amount. After payment, return to the panel to review the order and subscription status, and do not create duplicate orders for the same purpose.

How do I request a refund?

NrVPN offers a 14-day no-questions-asked refund. To request one, sign in to the user panel, open the support ticket area, and provide the relevant order details and refund request for review. Keep the order page information available before submitting, and avoid opening multiple tickets for the same order so the conversation stays together.

Still Need Help

Submit a ticket with the necessary information

If the steps above do not resolve the issue, state your platform, the client's current status, whether the problem affects all routes or only a specific route, and what you have already tried when submitting a ticket. For order-related requests, include identifiable order information from the user panel. Do not paste subscription content or account passwords on a public page.
